A blood pressure reading appears as two numbers. The first and higher of the two is a measure of systolic pressure, or the pressure in the arteries when the heart beats and fills them with blood. The second number measures diastolic pressure, or the pressure in the arteries when the heart rests between beats. Both are important. Usually they’re written one above or before the other, such as 120/80. By convention, if your blood pressure reading is 90/60 or lower, it means you have low blood pressure.

The same effect is also happen as you get older, where your arteries stiffen and are less supple and this may occasionally cause a fall in blood pressure when you stand.
