Problems with the heart’s valves or damage to its walls will make our heart cannot pump enough blood to meet our body’s metabolic needs. Then, there will be a heart failure problem.
Bilal Shafi and colleagues at the Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, California, US, created a protective band around the heart to reinforce its walls and prevent it from becoming enlarged. As it is known, in the case of heart failure, our heart tries to compensate by expanding to pump more blood. On the other side, this make more damages to heart, New Scientist reported.
