Stopping Dandruff

Often bothered by dead skin cells on your shoulder? Yeah, dandruff has became such a spooky hair problem in human beings. Scientist discovered, dandruff occurs when a yeast-like fungus called malassezia goes wild on your scalp. The microscopic malassezia fungus, a normal inhabitant on a healthy human head, feeds on the fatty oils secreted by hair follicles in the scalp. But sometimes, for reasons that are as yet unclear, the fungus grows out of control, causing irritation that actually speeds up cell turnover on the scalp.

Actually, it’s the skin’s natural way to rejuvenate itself. In fact, we get a whole new suit of skin about every 27 or 28 days. And dandruff results from the same shedding of skin cells. One of easier way to get rid of it is wash our hair down the drain. Getting rid of excess oils (which may contribute to the overgrowth of malassezia in the first place) and flakes through daily shampooing may be the easiest way to tame your mane. But our hair still needs its moist condition to stay health. Of course then, this is not the only choice.

If you have used anti dandruff shampoo for a long time and your dandruff problem didn’t even better, then may be it’s time to change your anti dandruff shampoo. However, anti dandruff shampoos are not always same in ingredients. Some of that even may contains unhealthy chemical substance for scalp.

If dandruff’s still become your problem, try some traditional hair therapy. Lemon juice, watermelon juice, and aloe vera are commonly used in this case. But of course, stop that itchy finger. Do not scratch your scalp like a shaky-freezing monkey, or you’ll be end up with wounds to your scalp caused by your fingernails :-D

Next, after having some exercise or strenuous work, wash your hair as soon as possible. This may help prevent the irritation of the scalp.

Let’s try them out! Dandruff would not be a so embarrassingly noticeable problem anymore :-P
