In small California town, a new study has found that the chemical known as hexavalent chromium causes cancer when ingested. ERin Brokovich claimed it has long been known that hexavalent chromium causes lung cancer when inhaled, but this is the first time it has been confirmed that it causes cancer when ingested.
Then, this study is published in the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, followed male and female rats over the course of two years. The rats were given drinking water contaminated with high amounts of hexavalent chromium and developed malignant tumors as a result. See?
